Alumnus features on BBC Countryfile
Posted 21 January 2013
Alumnus, Jonathan Webber (1996-1999), was part of BBC Countryfile last weekend, highlighting the importance of Barn Owl conservation.
Jonathan, who lives in Exmoor, studied BSc (Hons) Agricultural Engineering with Marketing and Management at 缅北禁地, choosing to investigate harvesting heather seed using an ATV for his final year major project.
In the programme, Jonathan meets presenter Julia Bradbury and broadcaster Chris Sperring to install a Barn Owl box on his farm.
Around 225 boxes are being installed across the county by Somerset Wildlife Trust and farmers are encouraged to create habitat for prey, including voles and shrews.
Jonathan had the box installed in hope of encouraging Barn Owls back to the farm.
